Disclaimer: This article is intended to inform not to judge. We all sin, and as I wrote this, I realized I have been a sinner. I hope you are blessed or have a better understanding of the actual meaning of sin. The information is surface, I did not want to go deeper into expelling demons, spells, and healing at this time. Enjoy!

When we think of sin, we think of murder or evil intentions towards innocent bunnies for no apparent reason. Sin is, in a manner of speaking, evil intentions towards innocent bunnies. Let me explain, I too have done extensive research on sin. I needed to understand what sin is now and how sin harms us and separates us from God.

I will speak from a Christian point of view, no specific denomination. If you are not apart of a vessel in Christianity, then you may apply and/ or subtract as needed. Most importantly is to learn or review and understand the viewpoint of sin from God’s eyes.

What is sin according to God? Sin is direct or indirect opposition to God and his commandments. We can intentionally sin, or we can be a bit more passive aggressive with our sins. Sin is defined as an immoral act against the divine law. I will break this down for you the best I can.

When God created man, the world was not yet sinful, sin was present but not yet sinful. Meaning we had not behaved in a manner of objection to the Lord. Adam and Eve are truly the people we should have issues with. They screwed this whole garden up, by not following a set of simple rules. Due to this opposition, we are forever born into this world in objection to God and his will.

The next level of sin is ancestral sin and / or original sin. They are the same but not quite, original sin is due to the disobedience of Adam and Eve, and their bloodline. Ancestral sin is a curse brought onto your family due to your forefathers directly connected to your bloodline. This is the reason the holiday season can be traumatic; the drama never ends.

Let us recap, we are sinful due to Adam and Eve and any person from our bloodline prior to our immediate family. These are the sins of the old testament, range from eating the wrong food, to marrying your brother-in-law. These sins are still valid and still hold strong along with the Ten commandments, the entire book of Leviticus, including the entire New Testament.

Why is sin bad? All the fun stuff just happens to fall under sin! I noticed this as well, in my quest for understanding. I also had a better understanding that I was a huge sinner, who sinned knowingly and foolishly. No one can justify sin better than humans. We justify sex, murder, lies, and the list goes on. We even incite God to anger with our justifications. The issue is not whether the sin is big or small, it is what tempted you to sin. Did we sin because of our own selfish desires or did we sin due to worldly pressures?

Sin eventually leads us to more brazen sin before the face of God. The road to destruction would not be fun if we started off big. We start off small, praying before we sin; not realizing we sinned as soon as we thought of the sin. We sin again by pre- ordering forgiveness before we sin, there is the knowing part. God looks within our heart and our subconscious thoughts, which is where our true intentions lay in wait, like muscle memory. I am guilty too, because if sin is not properly explained we risk being deceived.

How do we remove sin? Firstly, we must have a desire to not sin any longer. As we discover God/Christ and we come to accept his commandments. Our sins begin to disappear from the flesh and the spirit grows. The flip side is that, there will be a sin you will struggle with more. I cannot explain it, there might be two or three, just continue to pray and seek God. Paul speaks of a thorn in his side that God had not delivered him from. This was a health aliment that he was suffering with and he believed this thorn was due to his prior sin of persecuting the church.

The reasoning for a lagging sin can vary from habit, tradition, or just fear of losing that sin. God is aware of how we became engaged in the sin. One would need to reflect and ask God to show us the small sin that caused the bondage. We cannot properly confess, unless we understand that we are sinning. We must come to God, as we would our parent when we have broken the rules. We are seeking forgiveness, redemption and understanding. This is all God requires for you to begin a new journey in him. A redemptive heart full of love for God.

What is permanent separation? To be permanently separated from God is to be dead to the father in heaven. Your name has been blotted out of heaven’s book; your file has been transferred to hell.

Usually these are grave sins that the person enjoyed and allowed entry of dark forces. These are sins, that one has acquired over time; eventually giving into Satan directly. These sins would include any of the 7 deadly sins, any of the Ten Commandments, and any other Commandments from God and Jesus that has been willfully broken.

That is the goal of sin, to allow access to our temple. Once they are allowed into the temple, the Holy spirit can no longer dwell; therefore, opening ourselves to earthbound dark forces.

Any one of the sins mentioned in the bible can grow into a larger set of sins, or a complete demon. We see Hollywood depict demon possession in a way to be entertaining; however the demons in this realm can be extinguished. Each sin correlates with a specific demon or legion of demons. The demon cannot come and take over your body without permission. They must weaken your will or your spirit, and they will usually attack both and then drill into each, one at a time. They may also offer a gift, or assistance to a problem they created to get your attention. I have witnessed how far demons can go in their efforts to obtain what they want, be not naïve. They have nothing but time, and patience to meet their end goal.

Once the host is weakened, the host will have the illusion that they wield a certain power. These powers can range from psychic to levitation and so on. Demons are not the same and they all have specific purposes. They all have a parent demon, and they have a secret name only known by God. There is a hierarchy in hell and in heaven. Lesser demons do the bidding for their parent demon, the more powerful parent demon, is the demon that completes possession.

The reason we confess sin, is to free ourselves from lies and enter the truth. All demons lie and accuse, that is what they do. The flip side is that higher level demons can give accurate information to gain your trust.

Any sin that we have not confessed for whatever reason, the demon will use that against us.

Example… A young girl is raped by her father she hides this fact and she later in life kills a man. We understand rape, it is not her fault. The demon uses strategy to make her believe that every man is like her father, holding her in emotional bondage. The moment she enters a relationship, the demon will aggravate the situation reaffirming the reason she needs to stay alone, that she is damaged. The demon is attacking her from two areas 1. an unconfessed sin that was not her fault, and 2. her will power. Her will power was broken at the time of the rape. This can then lead her into immoral bondage to drugs, prostitution anything where her will power is in conflict.

Venial Sin is the weakening of a person’s relationship with God. This is Satan’s favorite attack, this is where every time you pray or go to church, he creates pseudo- situations for you to associate negative outcome with doing right. He will then convince the person God does not love them. Satan will convince the person, that another person, an idol, a deity, or a drug loves them more. This attack happens with all levels of Christians, it is called the spirit of discouragement. When we believe that certain commandments, or laws do not apply to us because we fall short, this is a direct sin. It is a sin to doubt God’s word and his love for us. This causes a domino effect with demons; they flock to the person and hand out chaos in steady doses.

I recall once in North Carolina I told a woman something similar. She had something dark following her around looking at her. This young woman had recently lost her dad and was feeling alone. The dark spirit was the spirit of suicide. The spirit of suicide starts with despair, depression, and oppression; once suppression has taken hold; possession soon follows, and time runs out quickly.

Sin in the beginning brings attention, admiration, elation, while in opposition to God. This is only the beginning, slowly this joy ride comes to a halt. Once sin has a foot hold in your life, those friends are not as friendly, those perks are no longer worth it. Now like a hamster on a wheel, the person must continue to sin to feel normal.

1 John 5:17 All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.

Genesis 4:7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

Genesis 13:13Now the people of Sodom were wicked and were sinning greatly against the Lord.

Genesis 20:6 Then God said to him in the dream, “Yes, I know you did this with a clear conscience, and so I have kept you from sinning against me. That is why I did not let you touch her.

Genesis 42:22 Reuben replied, “Didn’t I tell you not to sin against the boy? But you would not listen! Now we must give an accounting for his blood.”

Genesis 50:17 This is what you are to say to Joseph: I ask you to forgive your brothers the sins and the wrongs they committed in treating you so badly.’ Now please forgive the sins of the servants of the God of your father.” When their message came to him, Joseph wept.

The list for sin can be found on any website or internet search. Some sins may vary in wording but generally mean the same thing. All the sins are listed in the Holy Bible and all associated reading.

The Book of Jasher, The Book of Enoch, The Apocrypha just to name a few. Also check with your church home or local church for additional assistance and further understanding. Remember sin falls under a category and then a sub-category. If you are praying for someone regarding a sin, you must know the sin and actively rebuke the sin by its’ origin name.

As I stated earlier, we all sin and we all fall short of HIS glory. The goal is to realize that we do sin and reflect with God on why. We then must want to stop sinning and come closer to God; this desire puts us in a place to repent before God. Once we repent, we must actively turn away from the sin, seek God instead of the sin. Sin can be simply not praying or reading the bible. Our sin could be as complicated as dating a married person. Biblically divorce is allowed if adultery is committed; however God would prefer we grow and learn to forgive. Divorce can be discussed with your pastor and he or she can guide you further on your specific reason for divorce.

In closing any religious topic can take us from one topic to the next. I wanted to condense the information enough for us. We sin because we were born into sin, because we stand in opposition to the word of God, we oppose God, and we are deceived. I hope and pray this better helps you to understand sin. I hope this will be a beginning of a new you or a better you. Stay blessed in all you do! I hope this has been a helping hand.
